Fine lines and wrinkles are something nearly every woman
dreads. Unfortunately, they are a natural part of aging. Skin care companies
are continually marketing anti-aging
products to women of all ages, but when do we have to start worrying about
these unsightly lines?
Women in their 20s:
Women in their 20s will notice that their skin has become drier than it once
was. This is due to hormones leveling out
as we become more mature. Dry skin can cause premature fine lines around the
eyes and mouth, so a targeted skin care routine is best to stave off signs of
aging.
Women in their 30s:
Once women hit their 30s, their production of collagen begins to slow. This will make the skin look thinner and certain areas will become more delicate.
Products and foods that are high in B3 can help combat wrinkles at this age, as
can following a well-rounded diet.
Women in their 40s:
As women move into their 40s, our bodies will start to age drastically. Skin will lose its elasticity, be prone to
adult acne, and become increasingly more sensitive. Deeper lines and age spots are common
at this age, but products containing retinol and peptides can help reduce their
appearance.
Women in their 50s
and older: As we hit our 50s and beyond, our skin will continue thin and
dry, leaving it even more susceptible to dark spots and wrinkles. We also begin
to experience menopause, which can severely impact the skin on all areas of the body. Keeping up with a proper diet and
skin care routine, altering as our body needs, is one of the best ways to keep
pronounced wrinkles and lines at bay.
